Your Wellbeing Is Our Business
The global Hepatitis A vaccination shortage and restrictions on availability are likely to continue for the next couple of years.
Hepatitis A remains a significant concern for overseas travellers, especially those travelling to SE Asia, the African continent or Central/South America.
TWINRIX® is a combined Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccine that can be used to accelerate protection against these two important forms of hepatitis, that are a risk for most travellers.
Hepatitis A is a water-borne disease.
Hepatitis B is a blood-borne disease.
Both of these conditions cause inflammation in the liver cells and can be serious illnesses caused by a viral infection with Hepatitis A or Hepatitis B viruses.
Pre-travel vaccination is the best way to protect your health against these conditions whist on your travels.
As with all other illnesses spread by the faecal oral route, precautionary measures should be taken to avoid consumption of potentially contaminated drinks and drinking water and to ensure food is uncontaminated or cooked thoroughly.
Personal hygiene when eating and drinking is also important including hand washing prior to eating and using clean plates, cups and utensils.
