Wakefield is a cathedral city in West Yorkshire, England located on the River Calder. It is 9 miles (14 km) south-east of Leeds and 28 miles (45 km) south-west of York on the eastern edge of the Pennines in the lower Calder Valley. It is also at the junction of major north–south routes to Sheffield, Leeds and Doncaster and west–east routes to Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Pontefract. It is also close to M1 & M62.
There is ample free off-road parking.
Public transport is readily available too. The closest bus stop is a two minutes’ walk & the train station at just 10 minutes away.
