Newcastle

Newcastle upon Tyne, or simply ‘Newcastle’ is one of the most iconic cities in Britain, famous for its industrial heritage, brown ale, popular nightlife, and distinct regional ‘Geordie’ dialect. The Geordie accent was voted the friendliest accent in Britain- so, let’s start with “alreet”.

Located in the Northeast of England on the banks of the River Tyne, Newcastle has undergone several transformations since it began life as a Roman fort on Hadrian’s Wall in 122AD.

There are 73-mile-long Hadrian’s Wall fragments dotted around the city to date. Grazing cattle are also no strangers to Newcastle City Centre, so look out for them.

Newcastle was also the first city in the world to build a combined road and rail bridge and has a famous Swing Bridge which still uses the same mechanism since 1876!

Jesmond, located just a few miles outside of the city centre, is a stylish suburb which is home to a lively bar scene, amazing restaurants as well as a range of boutique shops and quaint cafes. Jesmond is also a very leafy suburb with plenty of space to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

Regent Street Clinic™ Newcastle (Jesmond) is located 10 minutes away from Newcastle Central Station by taxi (available right outside the station).

When driving from the Tyne Bridge, follow B1600 to Osborne Ave in Jesmond. Continue along Osborne Avenue to Holly Avenue.

On-street parking is available, right outside the clinic.
