Nichola Mistry

Nichola has worked in healthcare for over 30 years after following her childhood dream to be a nurse. She qualified as a Registered (Adult) Nurse in 1995 and then as a Registered Nurse (Mental Health) in 2000. Nichola worked in Accident and Emergency, as a newly qualified nurse working her way up to be the Senior Clinical Nurse. Her passion as well as commitment to strive for parity of physical health within mental healthcare services, led her to being head hunted to develop a physical healthcare service for patients in a Regional Secure Forensic Mental Health Unit, a 1 year job contract that turned into 12 years of implementing a Nurse-led Primary care, physical health service. Nichola became the first Independent Nurse prescriber within the large mental health trust where she worked.

She continued her journey as the Senior Manager/ Matron for Physical Healthcare and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) in a large Mental Health Trust, overseeing the physical healthcare and IPC for a High Secure Hospital, 2 medium secure hospitals, low secure hospital and 13 prisons across the East Midlands and Yorkshire areas. Nichola was very proud to receive a number of prestigious national and local healthcare awards for her work, the proudest achievement being the Health Service Journal highly commended award for implementing an in-house minor surgery service for patients in a High Secure hospital.

Nichola has over 5 years experience in medical aesthetics, ensuring that patients receive the best standard of care, to helping the patient to feel rejuvenated and refreshed.
Nichola’s proudest ever achievement is her 4 daughters (and husband) and her 3 grandchildren. She loves being a Mini Ma to her 3 grandchildren, as it’s the perfect excuse to have fun and be silly.
