Dr Bobby Ahmed

Dr Bobby Ahmed is the lead medical doctor at Regent Street Clinic and it’s subsidiaries – TravelDoc™, Regent Street Aesthetics, Total Body Screening UK, TESTD and GYM Doctor. These are all unique, forward-thinking primary healthcare models aimed at optimising patient health and wellbeing in a no fuss, “just walk in and get it sorted today” manner.

 

He is a Nottingham University graduate, UK born and educated, and has trained in the fields of primary care (general practice), non-surgical facial cosmetic medicine, occupational health, sports medicine, sexual health and travel medicine.

 

He has an experienced, problem solving approach to clinical practice, and this, coupled with his warm, down to earth and sympathetic personality, complements the patient-centred ethos of the clinic perfectly.

 

He is a regular voice and face in local public and media circles.
He has featured on radio shows on Heart FM (“Sort Your Life Out With Dr Bobby”) and BBC radio Nottingham.

 

He is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) and has been awarded the diploma in Occupational Medicine (DOccMed) and also the world renowned diploma in Travel Medicine (AFTM RCPS(Glasg).

 

Dr Bobby lives in Nottingham. It is here that the flagship clinic at 2 Regent Street was established shortly after he completed his medical training at Nottingham University.

 

Outside of medicine, Dr Bobby has travelled extensively, including time spent researching HIV/AIDS in the Bahamas (Princess Margaret Hospital) as well as South East Asia, Australia, South America and the Caribbean.

 

He is a keen speaker on the History of Medicine and welcomes students keen to get an insight into the fascinating and challenging world of Medicine.

 

In January 2011, Dr Bobby was appointed as a director onto the board of APAS (alcohol problems advisory services), East Midlands, as recognition of his particular medical interest in helping problem alcohol drinkers achieve abstinence and a new start in their lives.

 

He is involved in the teaching of Aesthetics Medicine and Travel Medicine to nursing colleagues, other doctors and students.

 

Dr Bobby undergoes regular (annual) appraisals through the Independent Doctors’ Federation (IDF). He has successfully been revalidated for the next five years by the General Medical Council, until 2020.

 

Dr Bobby has always been keen to support voluntary associations as well as local and global charities. He has constantly ensured that the clinic supports charitable work and embraces its corporate responsibility.

 

To this end, 2017 will see our staff attempting the three peaks challenge in Summer 2017 as well as a sponsored climb of Mount Killimanjaro in Autumn 2017. Watch this space!

 

Dr Bobby consults at the clinics in Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield. Consultations are unhurried and he takes a holistic approach to health. Patients are welcome to discuss ANY health-related issues that are causing concern.

 

Dr Bobby is available for private consultation Monday through to Friday, and is also available to give telephone advice during working hours. He has always espoused the importance of a strong patient-doctor relationship and takes great strides to make himself available for his private patients, many of whom have become close friends over the years.

 

Dr Bobby has built up close relationships with local consultants and secondary care providers over the years, so that patients can be sure that their concerns can be addressed by the very best medical practitioners in each location, nationally and even internationally.
